MARK YOUR CALENDARS - 2007-2008 MEETING
SCHEDULE Meetings will be held on the following dates:
Registration for all meetings begins at 8am with the meeting starting promptly at 8:30am. Continental breakfast will be served. 4 credits of continuing education will be offered. Meeting will end by 1pm. The Atlanta Society of Radiologic Technologists, Inc. was established circa 1950's under the name of the Atlanta Society of X-ray Technicians and, has been since its inception, a recognized affiliate of the Georgia Society of Radiologic Technologists, Inc., supporting its policies and procedures. In the later years of 1960's, the name was changed to the Atlanta Society of Radiologic Technologists to represent all persons who practice in the field of radiological sciences who may wish to be a member. The purpose of the Society shall be to advance the professions of radiologic technology and other imaging modalities; to maintain high standards of education and training; to elevate the quality of patient care, and to further the welfare and socioeconomic status of radiologic technologists. These purposes and functions shall not be restricted by any consideration of nationality, race, color, creed, sex, age, or physical disability. The affairs of the Society shall be administered by a Board of Directors, five elected officers, and, be noncommercial, nonprofit, nonsectarian, and nonpartisan in its endeavors. The members of the Society consists of active, associate, student, life, and honorary members. Each member has certain qualifications that designate their particular membership. All candidates for membership shall submit the prescribed application form, properly completed, together with any additional information that may be required, along with the prescribed dues for that year. Meetings are designed along the lines of education for the membership, offering CE credits for time spent in lecture. A short business meeting is held to conduct the Societys business. Presently, no more than nine or less than five meetings are held yearly. The fiscal year of the Society runs from June 1 through May 31.
